In the year 1954 Mr. Shahid Ishaq started his first printing press by the name of Printers Combine. With the passage of time Printers Combine grew out to be one of the largest printing facilities in Pakistan, with a labour of 200 employees catering all the fields of printing and packaging.
Every big institution faces ups and downs and Printers Combine had its share. The firm had to be closed down in the year 1971 when Pakistan was in crisis having lost a major portion in war. The government at that time had changed the policies and turned towards nationalisation which caused labour strikes and there was no work for almost eleven months. Eventually there was no other option than to shut down the press.
